The Outlander DVD follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a ionate relationship is ignited that tears Claire's heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
Based on Diana Gabaldon's best-selling book series and executive produced by Ronald D. Moore. Outlander spans the genres of romance, science fiction, history and adventure as if follows Claire Randall, a married World War II combat nurse who mistakenly falls back in time to 1743. Forced by circumstance to marry Jamie Fraser, an outlawed Highlander, she finds herself falling in love and torn by her loyalties to two men in vastly different times. Claire must reconcile her modern mindset with this 18th Century world midst threats from ruthless Redcoats, volatile clan politics and a brutal witch trial--and ultimately discovers that there is a fate worse than death as she must struggle to save Jamie's heart as well as his soul.

Beautiful scenery extremely well acted by all. Leading characters very apealing personalities. Interesting storyline with a touch of majic and original. Fabulous author.

This is the story that turned a time-travel-hater into a fan. It is so well-done that the time-travel is totally believable. One of the greatest romances in literature, all the better for being set in the midst of danger and history.
