A Place to Call Home DVD box set includes all 6 seasons of this amazing Aussie drama.

Gorgeously filmed and masterfully acted, this acclaimed period drama brims with romance and intrigue. When nurse Sarah Adams (Marta Dusseldorp, Jack Irish, Janet King) returns home to 1950s Australia after 20 years in Europe, she quickly becomes entangled in the lives of the wealthy Bligh family. Sparks fly with dashing widower George (Brett Climo, Snowy River: The McGregor Saga), but she clashes with his formidable mother, Elizabeth (Noni Hazlehurst, Little Fish), who enlists George's devious sister-in-law (Jenni Baird, The 4400) to disrupt their romance. As Sarah settles into rural Inverness, she befriends a good-natured farmer (Frankie J. Holden, Something in the Air) and finds an unexpected ally in the local doctor, Jack (Craig Hall, The Doctor Blake Mysteries), who has a complicated past with George's bohemian sister, Carolyn (Sara Wiseman, Rake [Australia]). Meanwhile, George's daughter, Anna (Abby Earl, The Great Mint Swindle), pursues her own illicit love, and his son, James (David Berry, Outlander), hides a painful secret from his insecure new wife, Olivia (Arianwen Parkes-Lockwood, Underbelly).
Tackling weighty themes of social class, sexuality, and prejudice with insight and intelligence, this award-winning series has earned rapturous praise from critics and fans alike. Through six captivating seasons, A Place to Call Home explores the ties that hold families together and the betrayals that can tear them apart.

Season 1:
It's the story of a mysterious woman perched between the harsh legacy of World War II and the hope of a new life in Australia and of a wealthy family forced by her to embrace the winds of social change.

It's 1953 and the horrors of World War II are still raw and alive in many memories. Graceful yet enigmatic nurse Sarah Adams (Marta Dusseldorp) learns of the death of her half-brother and returns to Australia from London to care for her estranged mother.

She carries with her the secrets and scars of her wartime suffering. In returning, she finds another country from the one she left behind. She finds an Australia perched on the verge of the social changes of the post-War boom. Working her age home aboard an ocean liner, Sarah becomes involved in the lives of the Blighs, a wealthy Australian pastoralist family.

Season 2:
Season One's epic finale saw the lives of the Bligh family imploding. After paying off Bert to keep him quiet about his son James' sexuality, George was furious when he attempted to extort more money from him. Shortly afterwards, Bert's body was seen floating on the surface of the river. Who killed him?

The first few minutes of season two will continue to keep everyone guessing. A seemingly typical morning at Ash Park is revealed to be something else entirely...

Sarah moves into Ash Park and works to prove herself a fitting wife-to-be for George, while his mother Elizabeth plays a devious waiting game to see what Regina will unearth about Sarah's past in Europe. Little does Sarah know, Elizabeth will uncover information that blows life as Sarah knows it sky-high. Which secrets will come out? And which secrets will be buried?

Season 3:
As Australia faces internal and external threats to its way of life so too do the people of Inverness, and previous alliances and relationships are tested: Sarah's dilemma between her feelings for George and her duty to her husband Anne, is exacerbated by a heart breaking secret: James and Olivia's relationship is under pressure by the desire for physical fulfilment, while the true parentage of baby George is threatened with exposure; Elizabeth Bligh's decision to leave Ash Park to explore a life of her own proves more difficult than she thought and the difference between Anna and Gino's fairytale romance and the reality of married life threatens to tear them apart.

Season 4:
Marta Dusseldorp leads the cast of this sweeping romantic drama set in 1950s rural Australia. The season follows the lives of the Blighs, a wealthy and complicated pastoralist family, who live in Inverness, NSW. with George now married to Regina, Sarah is seemingly separated from him forever but still they struggle to move on from the deep love that they feel for each other; Anna and Gino's new marriage is tested again; jack tries to prove to Carolyn, full of self-doubt, that she's worthy of him; and Elizabeth shocks the family with her new attitude to life. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the conservative wave of fear generated by the "Reds Under The Beds" scare surrounding the Petrov Affair, but also the wave of liberal change that has opened up new social and moral choices.

Season 5:
Marta Dusseldorp and the cast return for the most popular 2017 season.

Season 6:
The final stunning conclusion to this great Aussie TV show.
